Below you can find the answers on most frequent questions that our guests tend to ask.

All our cabins at Filefjellstuene have ski-in/ski-out to Tørisheisen during its opening days. When Tørisheisen is not operating, you can easily walk 15-20 mins on the cross country trail down to Kileheisen, or take a 5 min car ride up to Børrenøsheisen.
The cross country trails are located adjacent to Rekkehyttene.
Kongevegen (Kings Road) passes through just below our doorstep. To the East, you will fint the regular desctibed route Øye Stavkyrkje - Tyinkrysset.
To the West, the route runs over Filefjell to Maristuen via Kyrkjestølen.
To get to Kyrkjestølen (7,5 kms), you can either walk or bike the Kings Road straight from Filefjellstuene, or take a shuttle (book at the reception).

Filefjellstuene has probably the most prime location for exploring Jotunheimen, just a short 25 km drive to Tyinholmen / Eidsbugarden. Take Fv53 up to Tyin and continue on Fv252 to Tyinholmen / Eidsbugarden.
You can comfortably and easily combine staying at Filefjellstuene with treks and tours to attractive summits such as Falketind and Uranostind.
You certainly can. A sack of wood is normally already placed at the cabin, and we charge 130 NOK for a sack (payable at the reception)

Yes, the nearest EV charging station is located at Tyinkrysset Fjellstue
Our regular check-in-time is from 15:00, whilst check-out is at noon (12:00) at the latest.
Our reception is staffed during regular opening hours, where keys can be collected.
For many of our lodging units, we have electronic locks without physical keys, but with access codes. If you have booked a unit equipped with such, you will receive a notification the day before arrival with the electronic access code valid for the duration of your stay.

Breakfast is not included in the lodging, and must be ordered in addition. The exception is if you book one of our packages where breakfast is specifically included.
During peak season, busy periods, holidays and certain weekends, we normally serve breakfast in our restaurant. Otherwise we deliver a delicious breakfast basket to your unit in the morning. If you want to know what applies for your stay, just get in touch with us.
For larger groups and we certainly serve breakfast in our restaurant by request.
Yes, for most of our cabins you can! We do however charge a pet-fee of NOK 500, to make sure that future guests avoid allergic reactions etc.
It is not allowed to keep the dog in beds, sofas or other furniture normally reserved for people.
Please inform us in advance of your stay that you will bring your dog.
Unless specified as an option (may apply for external cabins), cleaning is included in the price given that the unit is left in proper state.
Make sure you collect all our belongings before you depart.
Yes, all our units come prepared with made up beds and towels for the number of persons reserved.

For larger groups we can serve dinner in our restaurant upon request.
Parking is for free, and you can either park your car right in front of your rented unit, or at the public parking in front of the main lodge.
