Getting here
This is how to get to Tyin/Filefjell
Tyin-Filefjell is the Southern gateway to Jotunheimen.
Our mountain range divides the Eastern and Western part of Norway, and we are located midways between the who biggest cities in Norway, Oslo and Bergen. About 3,5 hrs drive from either along the E16.
The E16 through Filefjell is recognized as the safest mountain pass between the East and the West, and remains likely open when winter storms is forcing other mountain crossings in southern Norway to close.
